Karen Murrell Natural Lipsticks! (English version)

Karen Murrell Natural lipsticks landed on my hands from the distant New Zealand and they are the answer to  something missing from the market: natural makeup products... Nowadays, it's easy to find natural skincare products, but unfortunately that's not the case as far as makeup is concerned... And it may not be that important to wear natural eyeshadow, but things are a lot different when it comes to lipsticks... Did you know, that a woman "consumes" an average of two (!) kilos of lipstick during her lifetime, as she eats, drinks or speaks while wearing it? What we put on our lips does matter and "natural" is the best way to go!

Karen Murrell created a lipstick collection that does not contain any mineral oils, animal-based material, parabens or preservatives. The  lipstick canisters are made from PLA (polylactic acid), a corn resin based material that will start to dissolve back into earth within 100 days. It is also greenhouse gas neutral, helping minimise emissions that cause global warming. Also the packaging is recyclable... Each lipstick respects the enviroment in every single way!

I am not going to lie though... We are all eager to opt for natural products, but we demand that they are not only innocent for our health but also of really high quality! Lucky enough, these lipsticks have nothing to envy compared to any other brand!

Their packaging is just beautiful, with amazing vintage pictures, that are unique for each colour... They come in a great variety of colours- 17 coloured lipsticks and  a colourless lip balm. Another unique element of these lipsticks is, without a doupt, their distinct smell of cinnamon! The cinnamon oil they contain, not only gives it's characteristic scent to them, but it also gives a slightly plumping effect to the lips, making them look a little bit fuller!

I personnally have five shades and I am honestly loving each and every one of them! The colour payoff is great- some of them are opaque and some of them have a more sheer finish. They do not dry out the lips, they last 3-4 hours and they tend to become semi-matte as time goes by... Long story short, they are amazing! As you can see all five are beautiful and my personnal favorites are Lavender Laughter- a perfect pink with purple undertones, which I love wearing with smokey eyes- and Poppy Passion, which has the most intense payoff of the bunch I tried and leaves a gorgeous stain on the lips sfter wearing off!
